I loved how this book "the tree in me" had a more deep rooted meaning about the main characters life story.

The tree in me is an amazing book that can identify being "strong" and talks about your roots.

I would use this book in my classroom to offer an opportunity for engaging students in discussions about nature, self-awareness, and personal growth.

The Tree in Me by Corinna Luyken is a picture book that explores the connection between nature and our own inner selves. Published in 2018. The story follows a child who sees themselves reflected in a tree. As the child looks at the tree‘s features, they recognize how they share qualities with it. The last time I read this I knew nothing about anatomy, kinesiology, or strength&endurance training. Now I have a doctorate in something related to that...looking forward to re-reading (and learning) from a different perspective this time (and I always love a good inspirational book)!
