This picture captures how I feel about this book! I was NOT expecting to be so completely enthralled by this. Once I started reading, I was under its spell and hours would pass without my notice! I usually get irritated by love stories but Marco and Celia felt human and their love wasn‘t cloying nor did it distract from the story. I would LOVE to be a member of the circus and be friends with Poppet and Widget! 😊😊😊(I found this image on google!)

My sister, @Bpsmith6176 got me these wondrous magnetic bookmarks! When I read a book, I always put a bookmark at my current spot, 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 through the book. These are much easier since they don‘t keep falling out and into the bath...😄😂 The tagged book is my next #TBRBowlOfDestiny read after I finish The Wasp Factory. I‘ve heard good things, so 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Zelma It is a fantastic book. The book essentially covers three generations whereas the movie covers maybe two summers in one of the character‘s lives. 6y

Paul is such a douche canoe. I actually enjoyed reading this (aside from that weird bit of unnecessary racism near the end...) and being thoroughly disgusted with everything Paul Morel did. 😄 I liked Miriam and I felt bad for her. Leniverse Sons and Lovers is the only D.H. Lawrence book I have genuinely liked. Not that I have read all of his work, mind you, but what I have read has ranged from "meh, alright" to "I think I would rather clean the toilet than read another page". But Sons and Lovers I thought was really good. 6y
