so-soTana French is a beautiful writer, no question. That said, this book's burn is soooooo sloooowww. Too slow at least for the payoff, in my opinion, which was pretty much in line with what I thought had happened the whole time. I enjoyed the bond that forms between Cal and the kid, but mostly this book made me wish it were another Dublin Murder Squad book instead.
