This is not a bad photo. The image on the book cover is hidden in deep fog. I knew nothing about this book when I once picked it up at #TheBookThingOfBaltimore. I still don‘t know much about it but was pleased to learn, in the opening chapter, that the setting is Washington, #DC. I love DC, and the writing is good. I think this book will be a winner. 😊

SqueakyChu I haven‘t read a novel for a while, at least not for the three months the COVID-19 pandemic has been here. I notice myself being amazed that the protagonist actually talks to people he doesn‘t know. My life in the pandemic is making a whole new and sad reality! 4y

These were some of the #free books I brought home today from #TheBookThingofBaltimore. Only one of the books is for me. The rest are going out into my #LittleFreeLibrary. 😃📚

I spent the afternoon at #TheBookThingofBaltimore in #Baltimore #Maryland ... Although I don‘t know anything about this book, its author seems to be very popular these days. I hope I‘m pleasantly surprised by this book. 😃

I‘d never heard of this book or it‘s author before. I found it a while ago at #TheBookThingofBaltimore. It looked interesting so I grabbed it. I‘d just finished a light, funny book so I was in the mood for reading something deeper. I‘m a quarter of the way through this book, and deeper it is. Based in wartime #Poland with its #Jewish population dead, this book is both horrifying & imaginative. It‘s quite different from other wartime novels.
