This is on the longer side and it does seem to float along, but it is worth hanging in there. I read reviews that seemed to think of this as a history surrounding the satanic verses, or that it would be better to read the Bible instead. This has nothing to do with either of those things. This is literally a satire, painting in vivid color and detail the dangers of closed minded, absolute belief systems.

GingerAntics @TheBookHippie so did I. It took me a minute to get everything straight because there are A LOT of characters and it‘s not necessarily in chronological order, but once I figured it out, I loved what he did here. 3w

DeborahSmall @Laalaleighh I got a paperback too but prefer reading hardbacks. This was so cheap on Amazon marketplace, same price as the paperback. It's from 1989, a reissue of the 1988 print 💕 8y
