Can‘t find the second bookstore of the day in the database (Stranger than Fiction in Ardmore, OK), so I‘ll tag one of my purchases! I was excited to pick up several by Josephine Tey as well.

I really liked this graphic novel in the lessons that it teaches children. It is a cute way of talking about friendships and how to bring out the best in each other. I would use this as a class read aloud and have students work in random partners, talk about the things that they like about each other and what they are good at, what they admire about each other. I also like the lesson it teaches about disagreements and how to handle them.
The graphic novel Sparkly New Friends written by Heather Burnell, is a cute story about Unicorn and Yeti and their friendship. The story explores their friendship starting from when they see each other sparkle from a way away, finally bumping into each other in search of what is so shiny. They end up forming the best of friendships despite their differences and help bring out the best in each other along the way.
“You did not bounce the all on your head. The ball is stuck on your head”
This would be a great book for the classroom highlighting the significance of teamwork, showcasing how each member‘s unique strengths playa vial role in the group‘s success.
“A Good Team” by Heather Burnell is a charming talk about friendship and collaboration. It follows a diverse group of characters as they unite to overcome challenges and reach their goals. Burnell‘s engaging and accessible writing make it an idea choice for young readers. The colorful illustrations enhance the story, vividly brining the character an their adventures to life.
