so-so2.5/5⭐ The instructions seem thorough and include diagrams. However, almost all of the projects look obviously DIY. Many just don't look nice at all, sometimes because of baffling materials like bubbled bath mats. I like the idea behind reusing suit coats and such but the executions don't impress me.
pick3.5/5⭐ Despite the title saying “Beyond Fashion,“ the vast majority of the ideas are for shirts, bottoms, and fashion accessories. While I question the longevity of some projects like the dog leash and the oven mitt that doesn't use heat-resistant material, the ideas are great and varied. It's fun to flip through this book and look for easy ways to freshen up your wardrobe.

pickI both really like this #diy book and find it slightly aggravating. The how-to in the beginning is super helpful and I do often turn to this book for #visiblemending and #upcycling instructions. However, the majority of the book is a photo gallery of work the author has done. While very inspiring, I would have enjoyed more stitch how-to's...or a slightly lower price tag 😅
A friend brought more books to sell at my thrift sale... people probably think I am a crazy book lady... they aren‘t wrong!! 😉
This is a huge step for me... I am selling 4 boxes of books at my upcoming thrift sale... it actually feels good to get rid of some books that I know I would never read!!!
