Liked Vol 2 more than Vol 1. Getting to know the characters. We‘ve got some more familiar faces. I like loose cannon Moran. I do NOT like Cockney Sherlock. Will def read Vol 3. I want to know where this is going.

14/150 Another clever and entertaining mystery involving Enola Holmes, and her lesser known brother Sherlock. I like how Enola has grown and changed with each new story, growing in skills and confidence. I hope the author has many more of these stories to tell. 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was such a cozy read. I enjoyed the author‘s discussion of periodical archives at the end, too. The mystery was relatively straightforward but plenty of red herrings to keep you guessing.

Picture of me resting after chopping logs for the fire at my friend‘s NYE party. Happy New Year! 🎆

The newest Enola Holmes mystery was my last read of 2023. What a great way to end the year! Oh, how I love Enola. 💖

This was fun, light, fluffy. A good historical mystery that's not at all demanding with a dash of romance and feminism. I did like the "agony aunt" aspect to the story, though perhaps it does reveal that this is more of a pastiche with modern sensibilities. It reminded me a bit of Deanna Raybourn's Lady Julia Grey series, which I also enjoyed. I read this for the cozy mystery prompt for #CloakAndDaggerChristmas @Ruthiella

I‘ve been reading one of these a year for the past several years and am always a bit surprised by how dark and sometimes gritty they are. Their titles always suggest something lighter to me. #BookedinTime #VictorianEra #SeriesLove23

#WinterGames #DailyPhotoChallenge #Family. A novella about classism and bringing the right man to justice rather than protect the wealthy.

peanutnine The title definitely conveys a lighter read 13mo

This is the first book in a cozy Victorian mystery series. I liked that each chapter began with a question to and answer from Lady Agony. I also liked the hint of romance brewing and the MC‘s aunt-in-law. Overall, I enjoyed it, but there were moments that either I wandered (totally possible) or the story did. #SeriesLove2023

An assorted group of characters are all gathered at a hotel up high on a Mediterranean island for Christmas. Then a couple of deaths that look like accidents occur. Closer inspection shows the individuals were murdered. In the meantime a nearby volcano is coming to life
