The fourth and final part of my #Folklore & #Fable #booklist for #WorldFolkloresAndFablesWeek!

This list was a whole lot of fun to compile. It brought back memories of various stories that got pushed back into my memory's recesses, and my supervisor excitedly contributed a bunch of titles, this is one of her favorite types of literature. Also, it almost became my English degree's focus.

Any titles you've read?

#LitsyLovesLibraries

kgriffith The Penelopeiad (LibraryThing “One Library, One Book” read); Uprooted (wonderful book, awful narration); Wicked 😊 6y
rwmg @MrBook You have a typo. It should be Where Three Roads Meet 6y
JoeStalksBeck The Unquiet Grave is by a local author here and about a local ghost story. It‘s an amazing book! 6y

Part 3 of my #Folklore & #Fable #booklist for #WorldFolkloresAndFablesWeek!

This topical area covers more than appears on first glance. #Mythopoeic, #fairytale, religious stories, modern retellings, urban legends, contemporary creations, conspiracy stuff, and novel/novella-length fables, all qualify. Lots of rich features to draw upon!

Have you read any of these?

#LitsyLovesLibraries

kgriffith The Lightning Thief; The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe; A Little Prince; The Mists of Avalon (I like this game!) 6y

Part 2 of my #Folklore & #Fable #booklist for #WorldFolkloresAndFablesWeek!

Three asterisks means the title is one installment in an appropriately themed series, and it's usually the first one in its series.

See anything you've read?

New #booklist 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻!!! In honor of #WorldFolkloresAndFablesWeek which starts tomorrow 👌🏻. While two pages long and dozens of titles present, this list is scant for what's out there. Definitely will be expanded upon, but, as always, this is just an intro for anyone looking to begin diving into this kind of material.

This is part 1. Read any of these?

#LitsyLovesLibraries

kgriffith The Alchemist; Alice in Wonderland; American Gods; Animal Farm 6y
