Depending how you count this is either the first or second volume in a Dying Earth pastiche series featuring the giant hero Ganelon Silvermane. In this one he wakes from a long sleep, apprentices to a magician, makes some friends, and fights a lot. It's nothing very memorable: the prose is stilted, the story episodic, and the episodes mostly forgettable. But it has a sense of humor and is fun enough that I'm not dreading the next.

Now Dr. Caroline Caldwell represents to me #evilpersonified simply because of how such doctors are. Always curious and trying new things causing many deaths and situations that shouldn't be. Their curiosity is not only there downfall but a lot of the time the world's end. Least in books and movies still though many real doctors are just as bad. #curiosity #worldsend #muchlove #characters2017

Reggie Glen Close always, always, plays those kinda characters to the T. Starting with Fatal Attraction-"I WILL NOT BE IGNORED!!!!!!!" Lol. And Damages, she was great in there. 7y
