Difficult to choose just one book for #October for #12Booksof2023 but eventually went for The Book of Cold Cases, but took me 24 hours to decide on one! This is another excellent story from Simone St James which has a bit of a ghost element to it. This really was an excellent read, and possibly my favourite by her.

Jackson‘s take on SK‘s Carrie that I actually might like better. Loved it!

Highly recommend the audio narrated by Dan Stevens. So glad I finally read this classic.

I may have read other enjoyable books in #October , but this is by far the standout. Patchett has a way to beautifully slow burn a story, slowly unveiling the reminiscences of the past. Meryl Streep‘s voice narration was amazing. I loved listening to every single minute of this one. #12BooksOf2023
