While the early chapters discuss UFOs and the closing chapter reveals a jaw-dropping explanation of the Roswell Incident, this book delves into more than just that.

With access to declassified info & interviews with those who were present at Area 51, Annie Jacobson provides a fascinating & detailed account of our government‘s efforts to conduct top-secret experiments in the realm of espionage & military warfare.

A shocking and fascinating read.

Given Oppenheimer‘s Oscar wins, felt timely to read this book finally. 🎥

This book is incredibly well researched and written. I commend the amount of time and energy Annie has put into this book. The length alone is a huge feat, but to collect the amount of documentation, the time interviewing people, and the effort to compose this book is unimaginable. Honestly, I was primarily hoping to learn about the Roswell incident and the truth of J-Rod. I ended up learning SO MUCH MORE!

One of my favourite books, great storyline and unique plot.

NikkiM5 I enjoyed this book too but the MC gave me a headache. The storyline/idea was so interesting, so I finished it. I believe it‘s the first time I loved a book but hated the MC, so I am kind of baffled 😂 3y
Eggs Sounds good 👌🏼 3y

My students love this series and the Who was/is books. I just read this book outloud to my son. It briefly explains why people thing Area 51 is connected to UFOs and space aliens. It spends more time talking about secret projects believed to be carried out there.

Day 11 of the #Top20 Series #20Series20Days

Today gone for one not seen posted yet, the Will Piper Trilogy. Initially picked the first book up from a charity shop not expecting much and was blown away by the story and didn‘t want to put it down. Loved the story thread through the trilogy, a good mixture of history and adventure / suspense story.

Book 1 also published as Secret of the Seventh Son.

Mollyanna I own Secret of the Seventh Son. Didn‘t realize it was part of a trilogy. Thanks for posting this. 😊 4y
MsMelissa I read the first book and found it enjoyable. 4y

Day 4 #AdventRecommends
I picked this one up from a charity shop because I liked the look of the cover!!!! Never heard of the author at this point. Read it not expecting much and was totally engrossed and blown away & virtually read in one sitting! The whole trilogy was good but loved this one especially. Great historical element and great thriller aspect. In fact think I want to read it again. Also published under The Secret of The Seventh Son.

candority I love the story that goes along with your recommendation. It‘s such a great feeling when a book you pick up on a whim ends up being fantastic! 6y

Obviously I was expecting something more like the X-Files, but instead it was a very absorbing and detailed account of the US black ops programs from WWII until the present (2011 when the book was published). Except for some speculations at the end of the book, there was no talk of UFOs and little green men. 4 💥💥💥💥 out of 5.
