49/100 I will give this short story collection a Pick with an asterisk. Each story is set in the worlds of the author's various novels, so if you haven't read the original novel, the story might be confusing. However if you're a fan, like myself, then each story is a mini sequel to the novels, involving some side characters the author wanted to give more attention to. 3.75/5 ⭐ #Read2025 #SeriesLove2025

Enjoyed the start of this series. Liked the characters and the plot. I appreciated that the author slowly developed the storyline and the backstreet unfolded organically. 4🌟

Oh Boy! Oh Boy! Oh Boy! I did not know that Stephen Fry had a 4th book in the Greek Mythology series. I need to finish my current audiobook so I can get to this. I know it's going to be another winner. #SeriesLove2025

Another great mystery by Ms Christie. I thought it was so interesting that Miss Marple isn't even introduced as a character until halfway through, and yet I was still riveted by the mystery! And when she does show up, she literally inserts herself into the crime scene and the detective is like, 'sure this old lady seems like she can help!' I mean, he's not wrong but... 😂

Ruthiella This is one of my favorite Miss Marple mysteries. 1d

When a distillery owner‘s body is discovered on top of a remote Scottish mountain, forensics confirm that he died of natural causes. DI Corstophine‘s concerns are raised, however when the dead man‘s eccentric sister receives a message, apparently from beyond the grave. The police are dismissive until it appears the devil himself is intent on attacking other family members.

EadieB Why is his daughter kept locked and sedated in her room in the baronial mansion? Who or what is stalking his son as he scatters his father‘s ashes on lonely summits? And what insanity is behind the horrific attacks in their small Highland town?
DI Corstophine and his team don‘t know what they‘re really facing until it‘s too late.
The Devil‘s Cut is an exploration of what constitutes sanity and how delicate that state really is;
2d
EadieB how such a perfect emotion as love can completely destroy a man.
This is the 2nd book in the series and I enjoyed it very much. The characters were well drawn and kept me engrossed and I look forward to the next book in the series. Highly recommended!

So happy to have finally delved into this, the Frank Quinn series🤗 I loved all the characters, even the dislikable ones & the plot just getting thicker & thicker😏 Highly recommended!📚🤓

TheSpineView Great job! 🤩📖📚 2d
CoverToCoverGirl It‘s usually good if you even “like” the unlikeable characters. 2d

I‘ve loved the Phryne Fisher series, and have now read all 23 books in the series. This one isn‘t the best, it feels like the author, being aware of the limited time she had left, wanted to ensure that the series cameto and end with no loose ends - Greenwood passed away in March this year.

I am enjoying this series. There a nice mix of serious issues alongside romance and humour, with a nice mix of likeable characters.

I read this with the #LittensLoveACOTAR group which made it even more enjoyable. Much calmer than the other stories in the series. I think it‘s laid the groundwork for A Court of Silver Flames which the group has just started.
