63/100 I have to admit I didnt like this one as much as the first one, I found it a bit repetitive, rehashing some of the character bits and situations. Sadly there's a pattern setting in, like an old episode of Scooby Doo. Lots of weird creepy phenomenon, possible monsters or demons, someone is killed (although never on Scooby Doo), then it all turns out to be Old Man Jenkins in a scary costume trying to frighten people off his land.
62/100 The final book in The Hoy War trilogy. It seemed a bit longer than necessary, the armistice between the US and the USSR come about in the middle of the book, then the rest is the aftermath of the war, which seemed to be an excuse to kill off a couple of characters who had barely survived the war. The frustrating thing was events pretty much went back to status quo afterwards, Russia still dominated eastern Europe and Korea was still

Outsider is the 12th installment in the Kate Burkholder Series by Linda Castillo. Kate's past comes back, and she doesn't know if she's being played or not. Kate's old roommate is running for her life and needs help, who to help her but Kate Burkholder, Police Chief of Planters Mill, Ohio. There's a blizzard coming, and Kate is called to an Amish man's home.
Love this series.

#serieslove2025 This was my favorite of the series so far. I can‘t resist an enemies to lovers trope. The ending gave me all the feels. Excited that there is another book coming out in Sept! Curious whose story that one will follow but excited to see what these 4 are up to! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love when McGuire gives us the in-depth dive into characters we've already been introduced too.
She not only writes epic adventures with well love characters, but she so fluently adds such hard topics that I'm always amazed by her brilliance.
Another dazzling addition to the series.
I feel like I need to re-read them all... again.

Two books read in ongoing series. Stephanie Plum is always a good escapist read for me. It‘s the same story over and over but there is comfort in that. Ruby was a much better book in this series than Bob‘s book. Of course Ivan‘s story is still the best. One more book to go and I‘ll be finished with The One and Only series.
1546 is the sunset year of King Henry VIII's reign but he is still alive for now & his councillors are locked in a power struggle between the Catholic faction & the Protestant Reformers. Radicals are being burned at the stake & Queen Catherine Parr is teetering on the edge of disaster.
Shardlake is summoned by Lord Parr, uncle to the Queen & asked to take on one more investigation. (continued)
Here‘s how I did on my #readyourkindle list in June. I started Royal Assassin for #realmofelderlings buddy read but I only read the prologue. I finished a series for #serieslove2025. I read some of the books on the #naturalitsy list. I started the short story for #christiescapers but I didn‘t finish it before the end of the month. I read the short stories for #noplacelikeholmes and I read the #whimsicalreadsbookclub book.
