pick87/100 This was very different from the usual DC story collection, but I enjoyed it. The artwork is in black & white and very Japanese manga influenced. Batman is dead (yeah right!) and Gotham is under martial law, where wearing a mask, as hero or villain, will get you arrested. Red Hood has turned traitor and joined the Magistrate in hunting masks. It's a dark and gritty story, lots of action and fight scenes. I'm interested to see how it plays

Finished this one on Thursday, it‘s my first #Roll100 read for October #47 Any Library Book. Being back with the Thursday Murder Club is always a treat. In this one, it‘s been almost a year since the events of the fourth book & the friends are regrouping around a wedding which brings forth a new murder to get involved in. While not the best of the series, I‘ve grown to love these characters so much & Osman keeps the ⬇️

Finished this one last weekend for #NancyDrewBR & it was for lack of a better word, fine. I vaguely remember some of it from childhood but not a lot of the details. We had purse snatching, old dolls & a search for the missing father of a young girl who is a talented musician & a good “gypsy” unlike most of the others in the book who are busy stealing & marrying off child brides—yep, it‘s pretty racist. ***#NNK counter⬇️
pickThis was a really fun middle grade graphic novel. The story was adventurous and heartwarming, with a great cast of characters. The images were gorgeous, such cozy and warm colors, detailing a beautiful setting I wanted to step into and visit. Would definitely recommend if you want a quick and sweet fantasy family of sorcerers and ghosts to fall for

pickBack in 2016 I discovered Alexandra Bracken and I was ensared by her. So shortly after reading Passenger I learned she had a trilogy about kids with psychic abilities, so obviously I had to have it.
I diligently read books one and two, but for reasons unbeknown to me now, I never got around to reading the third book.

Just couldn‘t force myself to finish the last 17%. This is no doubt likely caused by my own over-saturation over the past 2 years, as opposed to the book or the author. I won‘t be finishing the last book in the series. Genre change time📚
Another very fun entry into the series, but also a very poignant one. Amidst many of our favorite characters falling or remaining happily in love--except poor Joyce, who probably wants it more than anyone--devoted friendship is the true core of the story. Made me laugh and brought tears to my eyes, what more can you ask for.
