So happy to be back with Tempe, Ryan & Skinny💖
Thanks so much @Andrew65 for the read-along😏 I look forward to doing it again soon - I‘m also🤞🏻looking to catch-up before end of year🤓🫂
Another winner from Ann Cleeves. Vera is as grumpy and insightful as ever, and the story is compelling. I want to jump right into the next one, but I have book club selections to read! #serieslove2025
I enjoy the fun reads in the various Coffee Loft series. This one involves former college sweethearts who find each other after 8 years and the ups & downs of life.

This mornings fare:
Blueberry scone & crème fraiche, coffee & a book. Started this at 2:00 a.m. when I woke & initially could not sleep. #Serieslove2025
When I did my journal #wrapup for March, I remembered I also helped me friends find their new cats. A good development, but it did cut into my reading time.
In any event, here‘s a more realistic #serieslove2025 plan for April. Four books instead of eight. 🤣

The Dead Will Tell is the 6th book in Linda Castillo's Kate Burkholder Series. It was tense pretty much from page one. I never lost interest in it. Castillo is continuing to develop the character of Kate. Kate has grown quite a lot since the first book.
Kate Burkholder investigates a murder that may have ties to a 35 year old murder. A person dies, and the police find notes saying, 'I know what you did.' The police try to get ⬇️
One more series checked off my list. It was fun hanging out with these characters while it lasted

Two parallel cases in this one but neither of them really mattered (to me anyway). I managed to narrow down the Jellicoe Close case to 2 suspects fairly early on, but let's face it - I'm here for Kerrwent!
Now, I'm not usually one for reading romance but Jane Casey has me in a chokehold with the smouldering attraction between Josh Derwent & Maeve Kerrigan. (continued)
