“Art is not what I create. What I create is chaos.” - Colors by Halsey 🥰

A drawing I did. All I could think of when looking for inspiration was heart and bunnies, which is not my specialty. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 So I gave it a twist.
How‘s this? 🤣😂

bthegood Disturbing - I picture a woman locked up in an asylum, drawing her dreams- that is the story behind the picture for me - I love it - 🙂 2y

Pickpick

This little volume is the transcript of a speech given by Camus in 1957. It is as relevant today as the day he wrote it. #writersoflitsy #artistsoflitsy

plemmdog I haven‘t read his novel The Plague, but will probably tackle it before the summer is over. I couldn‘t go near it at the start of the pandemic... 4y
Louise @plemmdog The Plague wouldn‘t be my first choice of reading material during a pandemic, either! 😷 4y

Pickpick

This is an amazing book. It was the top pick in my #MakeMeReadIt lineup, and I‘m so glad I finally read it. I had some reservations about the way it wraps up in the end, but I‘m still thinking about the characters & the ideas two weeks later. The writing is masterful. And it is SO hilarious. I don‘t know how Irving pulls it off, this balance of comedy and tragedy and depth, but it‘s wonderful.

BarbaraJean And I also basically hate all the covers that are out there. The dressmaker‘s dummy is the best of the ones I‘ve seen, but why are so many of these covers such a mismatch for the feel of the story?! Or just boring? I think the “Hey, let‘s slap an armadillo on it” cover is the one I hate the most... (edited) 5y
TrishB I have the armadillo one 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ it‘s dreadful. 5y
Freespirit I read this book about 15 years ago and I still remember it clearly...for me that‘s the sign of a great read😍 5y

Lcsmcat I‘ve had the same thought about the covers. (Mine is the one on the bottom right.) But, try as I might, I can‘t come up with a _good_ cover idea. Someone ought to try! #ArtistsOfLitsy? Anyone out there have an amazing cover idea? 5y
AmyG I have the armadillo one, too....though it‘s a bit beat up. This is one on my most favorite books ever. ❤️ (edited) 5y
sprainedbrain Yes! Amazing book. ❤️ 5y
MommyWantsToReadHerBook Such an amazing book, glad you liked it (and finally read it - "hole in your education" as we would say in Afrikaans although it sounds pretty dumb in English) 5y
BarbaraJean @MommyWantsToReadHerBook You know, in English (perhaps just in American!) I think we would say “gap in your education”—so not that different! 5y
