This is another one that I‘ve already used for a different prompt but whatever. How do the rest of you find quotes to use? I do write things down but I don‘t remember them unless it‘s something I‘ve referenced frequently.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa You can good to Goodreads under quotes and search any word or phrase or topic. 5y
gradcat Anyway, I love this—I love the language! 5y
TK-421 Searching Goodreads by keyword is helpful (or by author, keyword if you have a particular writer in mind). I‘ve used Google Books preview too. Most often I search through e-books on Libby, Cloud Library, or iBooks. I‘m also trying to train myself to take a pic of the page when I come across a good quote instead of dog earring or using sticky notes. I also screenshot, bookmark or highlight while reading e-books to save quotes for later. (edited) 5y

twohectobooks @Riveted_Reader_Melissa I gave that a shot with limited success prior to posting this one but I‘ll keep trying! 5y
twohectobooks @gradcat Edith Wharton turns a great phrase! 5y
twohectobooks @TK-421 thanks! I definitely save quotes I just don‘t necessarily remember the content of them if that makes sense. 5y

“My mind is like a racing engine, tearing itself to pieces because it is not connected up with the work for which it was built. Life is commonplace; the papers are sterile; #audacity and romance seem to have passed forever from the criminal world. Can you ask me, then, whether I am ready to look into any new problem, however trivial it may prove?”

gradcat Great one, plus Cumberbatch...how can you go wrong? ♥️ 5y
