I‘m #audiodyeing with a new #audiobook today. Elecampane flowers have yielded a lovely yellow colour. Some of these pieces I plan to overdye with indigo later, to get a green colour.

A Garden to Dye For: How to Use Plants from the Garden to Create Natural Colors for Fabrics and Fibers

Lindy @Christine I used a 1:1 ratio of elecampane flower petals to weight of fabric to get this intense colour. The fabric was first scoured, then treated with tannin, then an alum mordant. 5y

Funny book! Really relaxing to listen to as an #audiobook.

I did some #audiodyeing, followed by #audiocleaning - I tried to not make a mess. The fabric is supposed to be just where it is right now, to keep the sun out in the morning.

#BFC @wanderinglynn - dip-dyeing and cleaning made up 2k steps. Not bad. 😉
