Very happy with my scores from the book swap on my walk home from pole dance rehearsal for the showcase last night. We also finished the dance so now we have 5 weeks to perfect it and get ready to shake my arse in a small amount of fabric in front of an audience. Nothing I haven‘t done before or won‘t do again. Seriously though it‘s a lot of fun and you should try it too. Ha!
I‘ve been at the Sydney Writer‘s Festival since Wednesday when this photo was taken. It‘s been hectic catching up with friends and family. I didn‘t get to my first lecture due to the current East Coast Low causing havoc so I took the time to have a nice lunch at Fratelli Fresh at Darling Harbour before heading to the Maritime Museum to listen to Why We Swim. I didn‘t realise how many book releases they do outside the fest dates. I‘ll be back.

Finally got around to reading this. Not too sure what I thought so I looked up the author and listened to her and got an idea of what she was doing in this book. Loved her descriptions of NY. Very real.
The story somewhat repetitive and drawn out. A brave first novel.
Have been trying to track down her books in our library system . Most available as ebooks. Disappointing for me. If I were to try an ebook, what device would you suggest ?
Found this in an op shop. Such great writing.
Always makes me sad that she died so young. Such potential, gone. 😢
A couple goes into the crime lab and holds people hostage because the police failed to find their missing daughter several years ago. They threaten to burn critical evidence of major crimes until the police find their daughter. This is a quick thriller that was really good. If you like James Patterson, you‘ll probably like this one.
Well that was offensive. I kept reading because of the audacity!
