The reason I gave this book a 3 of out 5 rating is because I didn't enjoy it as much as before. I still love the characters.

An absolute guilty pleasure read that I loved when it first came out. Rereading it on the beach was both addictive & made me roll my eyes. Obviously the relationships are toxic, but it‘s also incredibly entertaining. It‘s like eating a giant tub of ice cream, not great for you, but it taste good in the moment. Don‘t base your relationship goals off this book, but it‘s perfect teenage yearning vampire drama. I‘m off to read the rest of the series.

Sometimes doom scrolling Facebook produces some interesting facts lol. Utqiaġvik, Alaska will be in a state of twilight and darkness until the end of January. I don‘t think I could ever get used to that!

I just posted about*not* seeing Florence & the Machines, however I was extremely fortunate to attend a reading of Saunders the week he won the Booker for Lincoln etc. Saunders is the modern age Vonnegut, chronicling our #twilight with the attendant absurdity and humor it deserves. The tagged book, aside from featuring one of the more humorous and topical, titles in years is a good starting place & showcase of his absurdities/wonders.

My teen has been talking to me about Nietzsche, so I'm dusting off my Twilight of the Idols and The Anti-Christ from college. I made notes in it, so I know I read it, but I remember nothing from this book except that it wasn't what I'd expected when I was 19 years old.
