This focuses on the archaeology & material history of the Vikings and includes lots of pictures of beautifully ornate shiny things. Having had my fill of dangerous #berserkers & crazy-mad brutality/random revenge in last year's read of Sagas of Icelanders, I might actually want to read this one soon (or at least look at the pictures!), and admire all the pretty creations for some light relief! #stillrecovering
