I'm 80% sure that walking is an Olympic sport (fast walking?) and there is lots of walking in this book 😬 also Legolas is a big archery fan... #augustphotochallenge #booksandsport @TheSpinecrackersBookClub

The last book that I can remember reading that was actually about sport was called Deadly, Unna? which is about football (AFL football, oval ball - it's a big deal Down Under but it makes me 😴 good book tho)

TheSpinecrackersBookClub Hah! I adore this photo and your figurine. 8y

#augustphotochallenge of the #day4: #booksandsport I am a big baseball fan but I have NO books about sport. This book explores ancient Aztec civilization and details an ancient sport cross between soccer and basketball. I do Pilates so here is my (clean) mat.

#augustofpages #booksandsport #dayfive I thoroughly searched my many, many books and found that not only do I not play sport, I apparently don't read about it either. So the only photo I could come up with, is about a made up sport. Does that count?? Quidditch is such an integral part of the Harry Potter world, it's a character all of its own. If I could play a sport, this would be the one I choose. I'd love to see an Aussie team in the World Cup!

TheLondonBookworm I have the same problem! I'd say quidditch definitely counts :) I was considering the Throne of Glass series- does assassination count as a sport? 8y
Laura317 Why stop at the World Cup? Quidditch could be an Olympic sport. I dare say more folks would watch if that was the case! 8y
TheSpinecrackersBookClub Hah! I absolutely LOVE this post and it definitely does count as a sport. 8y
Soubhiville I am also not a fan of any sportball games. Quidditch, however, I would definitely watch! 8y
Hooked_on_books Yup, totally counts. 8y

Seven Years in Tibet | Heinrich Harrer

I don't read much about sport itself, but sportsy people are quite amazing! Did anyone see the Mo Farrah documentary last night?!) Heinrich Harrer was 'a famous mountaineer and Olympic ski champion', while Rosie Swale Pope sails the world and runs many many marathons. #augustphotochallenge #booksandsport @TheSpinecrackersBookClub
