I enjoyed this one, quite a chilly atmosphere while reading. I don‘t think I‘ve read a werewolf book since I was in high school and now I want more of them lol! I‘m trying for an early bingo here as you can see for #boonspinbingo

TheAromaofBooks I don't even remember why I originally read Shiver - probably because the cover art from the first edition is soooo gorgeous - because it's totally “not my style“... & then I couldn't stop reading them & was mad when I got to the end of the last book & there were no more. 😂 4y

My first box checked off for #BoonSpinBingo (besides free spaces haha) Revisiting this one for #HeyCarrots (yes, it was July's book, but y'know) and, as always, I loved every page. Captain Jim can get a little rambly sometimes, but I love him so much that I don't mind. More than most of the books - except Rolls - this one really gets me in the feels as Anne has a lot happening in her life. The whole part of the story with Leslie's husband and ⬇️

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) choosing to do the right (hard) thing - only to have the truth set her free in the end - hits me every time. Captain Jim says, “It ain't our feelings we have to steer by through life - no, no, we'd shipwreck mighty often if we did that. There's only one safe compass and we've got to set our course by that - what's right to do.“ Amen, Captain Jim, amen.

Anyway, a delightful addition to the series that I never tire of reading. 4y
