It wasn‘t that the story was bad, but I just couldn‘t wait for it to be over. Luckily the latest iOS update means I can listen faster than 2x speed, so I could hurry things along in the boring parts. I have the next two books, but I‘m not sure I will actually read them.

A friend recommended this years ago now. I started the ebook back in 2016 I think. I don‘t remember finishing it, but I did enjoy the parts of the book I read. Now I‘m taking the audiobook for a spin. We shall see.

Mimi Matthews and Cassandra Clare were new to me authors this year.
I read all of the Infernal Devices series and started The Last Hours (although I don‘t ever see myself going back to the The Mortal Instruments). I am looking forward to Chain of Thorns being released in 2023!
I bought a Kindle deal for a Mimi Matthews book, and fell down the rabbit hole of her historical romance series. I recommend checking her out if you like that genre!
