8-22-22: My 83rd finished book of 2022! Another bizarre book by Mr. Palahniuk. Shannon is a beautiful fashion model who suffers a terrible accident which leaves her disfigured. She loses all that is perfect in her life but gains Brandy Alexander, a transgender woman, who is going to help Shannon be reborn. ⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣8️⃣3️⃣
I know this is supposed to be satire, but it was gratuitous and, quite frankly, kinda gross. And while the writing style was certainly unique, it quickly became distracting. I think I might not be quite smart enough for this one. 🤷🏻♀️
That said, there were some funny parts (the running joke about the missing batteries is hilarious, albeit a little vulgar), and I think I liked the ending. (CONT‘D ⬇️)…
It's so hard to forget pain, but it's even harder to remember sweetness. We have no scar to show for happiness. We learn so little from peace.

Please help me if I‘m missing something! All I could think was this is like the novelization of a Quentin Tarantino movie- and that‘s not a compliment from me lol. I bailed about half way in. Am I missing something, is there a better book to start with by this author? #chuckpalahniuk #invisiblemonsters
