I never really clicked with the main character in this. Won't be continuing the series. So not really series love, alas.

Last audiobook finished; I need to catch up on my reviews. No interesting recs from Hoopla app after finishing the last, so I decided to try this out. Turned out to be a suitable follow-up to the one I listened to about Jack Ruby, including more background for the CIA's knowledge and suspicion (very well hidden even from the Kennedy assignation investigation) of Oswald, and Kennedy's and Nixon's relation with security agencies and their impact.
I‘ve have a completely nutty work week, so I am ready to be back in BOOK mode 📚
Just fininshed the one by Patterson, and it‘s a timely book about an out of control POTUS that has a vendetta against China and will do anything to put us in WW3.
Interesting book about the author's career in the CIA. From her recruitment, her training and her departure she discusses it all and how it affects her personally. I enjoyed it. Perfect length and level of detail.
Loved this read. Written by a former intelligence analyst all of the American/Russian spy tropes are in this book. Lyndsey is brought in to find who killed her Russian link and Theresa wants to defend her husband who was killed in Russia. Who would you trust?
Really good. Infuriating and revelatory.
This was interesting, although I finished listening to it on the way to and from my parents' for Christmas - which meant I listened to the parts about 9/11 and the years following - which was not the right mood for Christmas.
A brilliantly written and comprehensive account of America‘s wars in Pakistan and Afghanistan (as it says in the title). I bought this when America pulled out of Afghanistan & it‘s taken me this long to pick it up - part of reading my TBR this year. It‘s a great insight into the different arms of govt, their struggles with other cultures, arrogance at times, the complex relationship with Pakistan as a nuclear state & the need for a clear purpose.
