Pickpick

Another Peter Heller banger! It was fun to discover that the protagonist was one of the two main characters from The River 😊

Luke-XVX Solid read, I‘d like to check out his other titles 2d
Pedrocamacho Definitely, @Luke-XVX, check out The River! And The Last Ranger! 2d
Luke-XVX Noted! Thanks ! 2d

Pickpick

In Watershed, Everett draws parallels between the current and historic treatment of both Black and Native Americans in the US. And, of course, he still infuses the book with his trademark humor. This was terrific, and I‘m not surprised—the man is a marvel.

Butterfinger I can't believe I have not heard of him till James. I'm going to redeem that. 5d

BarbaraBB He‘s so good. We‘re lucky he has such an extensive backlist! 5d
Hooked_on_books @Butterfinger I only discovered him a couple of years ago with The Trees and he‘d already been writing for decades. I‘ve been trying to redeem that as well. 5d
Hooked_on_books @Amiable I haven‘t read it yet, but I have it. I‘m thinking I‘ll read that one in February. I‘ll try to remember to tag you in my review! 5d
Hooked_on_books @BarbaraBB I‘m sad that it took me so long to find him but THRILLED that he has so many books for me to explore! He‘s incredible. 5d

#WhereAreYouMonday
I'm excited to read this Christmas thriller because it sounds good but also because it's set in Colorado! Aspen, to be precise. I started it last night but fell asleep on approximately the 2nd page. I love the holiday season but end of year at work is exhausting. 😟
@Cupcake12

Ruthiella It is fun to read books set someplace one is familiar with! 😃 1mo
bookandbedandtea @Ruthiella Absolutely! Plus, I feel like I went most of my life without ever reading a book set in Colorado so every time I come across one it gives me a little thrill. 🤪 1mo
