Really well researched and interesting to read. There was too much scene-setting of historical markers that weren‘t relevant to Margaret‘s life. I was drawn to the book because I loved the musical The Unsinkable Molly Brown with Debbie Reynolds, and I bought the book at the Titanic Museum in Missouri. She was never even called Molly, so that‘s just a small taste of how many things about her life and personality were incorrect.

This book follows 2 women, one a hunter who gets into trouble on a hunt, and the other part of the search and rescue team. Their stories alternate and we learn more about each of them as the tension steadily builds toward the outcome. I found this wholly riveting.

Enjoying this book. Only about half way but so far it‘s entertaining. Quick read.

Meh. I don‘t get the hype.

Another Peter Heller banger! It was fun to discover that the protagonist was one of the two main characters from The River 😊

In Watershed, Everett draws parallels between the current and historic treatment of both Black and Native Americans in the US. And, of course, he still infuses the book with his trademark humor. This was terrific, and I‘m not surprised—the man is a marvel.
