Meh. I don‘t get the hype.
Another Peter Heller banger! It was fun to discover that the protagonist was one of the two main characters from The River 😊

In Watershed, Everett draws parallels between the current and historic treatment of both Black and Native Americans in the US. And, of course, he still infuses the book with his trademark humor. This was terrific, and I‘m not surprised—the man is a marvel.

I‘ve been sick for the past few days and today I‘m starting to feel better so it is a perfect time to just lay in bed and rest u til I am completely better and back to work. #5of2025
“Here was this man Tom Guthrie in Holt standing at the back window in the kitchen of his house smoking cigarettes and looking out over the back lot where the sun was just coming up.“

I'm excited to read this Christmas thriller because it sounds good but also because it's set in Colorado! Aspen, to be precise. I started it last night but fell asleep on approximately the 2nd page. I love the holiday season but end of year at work is exhausting. 😟
@Cupcake12
I *love* the tagline on this book, it cracks me up 😂😂
So far, I‘m flying thru and it‘s super cute and fun ❤️
(In case it‘s not readable in the pic: “Why date a mountain man? Because he knows how to pitch a tent.” 😂
Thank you so much @Soubhiville I loved the letter, catching up with you is such a wonderful afternoon of friendship. Thank you for the present. I‘ve wanted to read this book for ages! Hope you have a wonderful holiday season xxx
