It‘s a nope from me. The concept of humanity living in virtual worlds to escape the reality brought on by climate change is interesting, but nothing really happened in the book and the ending was disappointing.

I‘ve only read #Erebos by this popular German author ✍️ so far, and I didn‘t like that book either 😬.

Buechersuechtling @Liselotte Ich konnte es nicht aus der Hand legen als ich es vor einigen Jahren gelesen habe. Es war der Beginn meiner "Ursula-Poznanski"-Phase. Mich hat total fasziniert wie lebensecht sie bestimmte Aspekte der Handlung (ich will nicht vorgreifen, deswegen die kryptische Ausdrucksweise) beschrieben hat. Das Ende fand ich dem Rest des Buches nicht angemessen. Aber bis zu diesem Ende hat es auf mich eine echte Sogwirkung ausgeübt. 8y
