Continuing with my favourite novels I read in German. Especially Die Wut, die bleibt is absolutely brilliant. Das 8. Leben is a masterpiece. Dschinns is an emotional look into a Gastarbeiter Family from Turkey, and Herumtreiberinnen is about a house in Leipzig and it‘s occupation in the third Reich, in the DDR & today.

Am Dienstag wurde die Shortlist für den Preis der Leipziger Buchmesse bekanntgegeben. Da ich schon 3x auf der Buchmesse war hat es mich interessiert. Wie andere auch fand ich die Liste unkreativ & vor allem zu weiß. Nachdem ich mich auf Twitter umgehört hatte bestellte ich diese 2 Bücher und die Cover hauen mich jetzt schon um?.

Sace @Ruthiella if I had the the brain for it I would love to add French and Turkish, but I'm sticking to the languages that I had in high school. I've at least got a foundation with German and Spanish. I'd have to start from scratch with anything else. 4y

Yuki_Onna @Sace I think they are! 😋 I like them, too - we have the For Dummies series in Germany, too, and those I've read I liked very much. Realtively easy and informative - I don't care being considered a Dummy in certain fields when I read them... :) I guess you cannot be an expert in everything.😅 Viel Glück und Spaß beim Studieren! 🌹 4y

It wasn't a book for me. Too much regional. I like the city but I don't want to read about problems in one district.
And I didn't the too long conversations with the suspects.

Perhaps it's a good book but I can't read regional crime...
