#SpringSentiments Day 5 @Eggs

This book has been recommended to me several times over the years, and I've attempted reading it, but never finished it. #Exasperation is all I feel for this book and its characters.

Maybe one day I'll try again.

Scochrane26 I thought it was difficult, too. I finished reading it when I was stuck at home due to snow/ice for a week several years ago. 4y
KCofKaysville @Addison_Reads I had to force myself to read but then skimmed the last part. I can't see why it is considered so great. Just not my cup of tea. 4y
Eggs Nicely done ✅👏🏻 Never felt like reading it 🤷‍♀️ The “must read” recommendations are subjective 4y

#SpringSentiments Day 5: I predict that daughter and I will feel a great deal of despair and #exasperation as we read this novel depicting a teenage Filipino-American‘s quest to discern the truth behind Duterte‘s war on drugs - but in reality is a war on the poor and the defenseless. 😭

Eggs Loved this book ❤️ 4y

A Kiss of Shadows | Laurell K. Hamilton

#UncannyOctober #day21 #Exasperation🙄No author but Laurel.K.Hamilton can make my eyes roll so hard they feel like they're falling out of my head! The Anita Blake series started off so good when it was about executing vampires, raising zombies & solving cases, then she had to impose her life onto her book characters. I don't care who or how many she chooses to have in her life, but when her books become half plot, half porn, we have a problem🙄

jillannjohn Love this pic! 7y
DiruVamp Couldn‘t agree more! 7y
Owlizabeth I wouldn‘t mind if the porn was interesting, but it‘s gotten so complicated I just skim through so I don‘t get a headache. 7y
