so-soThis book was ok. I liked it but I wouldn‘t read it again. Maybe I didn‘t like it because it didn‘t relate to me at all. I think it‘s a good book and it had a great plot but it just wasn‘t my thing. :)
@slategreyskies had this question on their acct. ❤️ it. I read a lot as a kid, & I was into the tagged series. I also read a lot of Little House on the Prairie, Sweet Valley High, and Goosebumps. It was my parents who got me into reading. Growing up (and now), they both always had a book (many) nearby, took me to the library, & gave me books as a gift. My mom gave me a new book on snow days hence my love of reading when it‘s snowing.

so-soIt was alright. I didn‘t like the back and forth between past and present with no warning, the unrealistic dialogue, and the overused phrase “it‘s funny how...” I had high hopes but they fell a little flat.
“Honey, Baby, Sweetheart” is one of my favorite books. Trying something else from Deb for the first time! I am expecting good things and am looking forward to reading this.
Clara‘s relationship with Christian is intense from the start. But what starts as devotion quickly becomes obsession, and it‘s almost too late before Clara realizes how far gone Christian is—and what he‘s willing to do to make her stay.
Now Clara has left the city—and Christian—behind. No one back home has any idea where she is, but she still struggles to shake off her fear. She knows that no matter how far she runs, it may not be far enough.
bailedI really wanted to like this book. I really wanted to. I've been wanting to read a book about a Jewish character and this one seemed really interesting. However, the main character was super terrible, super insensitive and I just really really couldn't do it. Sad 😭
