pickI got so impatient after the last volume ended basically in a cliffhanger that I went ahead and bought the next volume because I had to know what happened next. This one was just as cute as the first one. A lot of things were introduced in this volume, and hopefully, they will be touched upon more in later volumes. There were a few moments that made the pacing a little choppy, but nothing horrible.
If Kara was hot up here, it must‘ve been hell down in the packed square. All of Nau Fruma was on a labor strike, and from her vantage point, the protesters looked like a single living organism—angry, undulating.

pickThis was a lot cuter than I expected. I started it right before bed and decided that I didn't need sleep, I needed to finish the whole volume. I am a little mad that I didn't wait to start this until the rest of the volumes were available at the library. Now I have to read the next part.

Part 1 of kiddo‘s haul: the tagged has been borrowed from the library at least a dozen times, the bottom two finish the series, the Daughter books is her cousin‘s absolute favorite series (she carries them around and calls them her children) and a birthday present for my kiddo, and the Calin just because (and author‘s first name is kiddo‘s first name so if that‘s ever a bingo square again she‘s set).
pick5✨ This was not a surprise 5 Star for me because I have read it close to when it was copy written in 2003/2005. I loved it then and I love it now! It also caused me to follow the author ever since. The princess Ani is forced to become Isi and the Goose Girl for the king of her arranged marriages land. All in her company died to save her, but the villain in this story did not anticipate the talents of Ani‘s animal speak, and her determination.
