My favorite book from November! Really loved everything about it! I didn't thought I would love so much this romance but it was so light and beautiful that I couldn't help but fall in love as well!

I loved this book! Eden Robinson‘s way with dialogue had me chuckling even when situations in the book were definitely not amusing. There was humour, there was depth to the characters, there was all the feels. #readthenorth #gillarprizefinalst #favourite #octoberread

The Long Walk | Stephen King

By far, my favourite Stephen King book. As horrific as it is, it is definitely a page-turner! King creates dread right at the beginning of the novel that stays with the reader until the very end.

Great addition to the time travel/sci-fi genre. Through an almost all female cast, Mascarenhas delivers a brilliant and page turning murder mystery with a squad of female scientists, queer romance, and beautiful tales of ambition, betrayal and love.

“Standing there on the embankment, staring into the current, I realized that—in spite of all the risks involved—a thing in motion will always be better than a thing at rest; that change will always be a nobler thing than permanence; that that which is static will degenerate and decay, turn to ash, while that which is in motion is able to last for all eternity.”

My first post on Litsy and I figured I'd start with one of my recent favourites. I have many favourites but this book was just a magical read from start to finish. I don't have the time to read as much as I'd like but fit it in where I can. Excited to join the Litsy community and truly figure out how to navigate the site!

Iv also found the audible audio book app helps as when I‘m driving between clients and cooking , cleaning , walking on the school run I can catch up a little on a book 😍 I‘m hooked! 💕 5mo

RachelO I‘ve still to read this! Maybe I should add it to my July reads... 5mo
TheEllieMo @rachelo I‘ve seen quite a few people on social media comment that they didn‘t like it, so it seems to be a bit of a Marmite book - you either love it or hate it. Personally, I love it, and everyone I know in real love that has read it loves it. It‘s a good, character driven story 5mo

Brilliant book that has forever changed my understanding of capitalism & politics, offering a new framework to consider international politics and the development and aid work funded by UK and USA. One issue is the omissions of geopolitical and historical dynamics in Lebanon and Iraq in favour of advancing Klein's argument, making me wonder about the omissions in her discussions of S. America, S. Africa and Asia.
