Okay, when I opened book # 16 for today, I squealed with excitement! Mansfield Park is my absolute favorite Jane Austen book! And I love the color also! 🩵🩵🩵

Happy Jane Austen's birthday to all who celebrate! I am getting REALLY excited to read her novels again with the #PemberLittens in 2025. I'm also really excited to break out this gorgeous new copy of Mansfield Park and *dig in deep*. Who's ready to join me on the Fanny Price Defense Squad? Up with strongly held principles! Down with am-dram hedonism! #HappyBirthdayJane #JaneAusten
Today in 1775 Jane Austen was born. I celebrated with Twinings English breakfast tea, raspberries and creme scone, and an Austen movie marathon in the order of the books publications. The teapot lid has the beginning of Pride and Prejudice on the pages. Made by Carters of Suffolk.

However, I can see myself reading something else by Dumas. Pevear's translation was super readable. The ending did feel a little abrupt, though. I'm not sure I would want to be friends with these guys in real life (especially considering how they ⬇
This depressing book is about an immature loser that struggles to keep friends and flunks high school. He‘s socially awkward and doesn‘t fit in. But I honestly didn‘t feel that sorry for him. It may be a historic book but it is overrated.
Picked up a few books at the bookstore today.
