4 ⭐This book was fully unique. We have a queen and her feet do not live in shoes. Honestly, I don‘t blame her. Her feet may want to play in the mud, run in the sand, or wear completely inappropriate shoes but the queen still has a job to do. After gathering as many people in the land that know anything about feet as possible, they‘ve come up with a plan. What I really like about this book is the story is simple, but fun, but the illustrations.

LibrarianRyan The illustrations remind me of some of the jazz sessions of Sesame Street. Things like the number song when they count to 12. That type of atlas illustration. Sometimes that type of illustration can feel old but in this book it the illustration feels unique and perfect for the story. 9mo

Chuck and Brain crack me up! This episode is a bit of a trickster tale.

Harris Finds His Feet | Catherine Rayner
Pickpick

Published in 2013, Harris finds his feet won the Kate Greenaway Medal for illustrations. This story is about a hare who has very large feet. Harris at first does not like his large feet but his grandad shows his all the benefits to having his big feet. I like this story because it has great illustrations and also has a good message about how everyone is different but you can still find beauty in the things that you may not like at first.

This book was published in 2008 and is about a hare and his grandfather. The hare has very large feet, and his grandfather teaches him all the things his feet can do for him. This story shows his journey to independence, and is an inspiring story. This story won the Kate Greenaway award. I would definitely use this in my classroom!

So got the news about my xray of my foot. It showed normal. So the doctor is going to try giving me steroids becuz he thinks it is.... Plantar Fasciitis. He wants to do an MRI on my foot but for the insurance we need to rule things out first. So I am trying to remain calm and take deep breaths. It is looking that i will have to do a lifestyle adjustment when it comes to walking. Fun Fun Fun. I know things could be worse, but it still sucks.

Brooke_H I had plantar f! It took about 9 months, but it did go away completely. Good luck! 3y
brittanyreads If it's plantar, do a heel drop stretch on a step. It's been doing wonders for mine. I saw a massage therapist and chiropractor who both recommended that stretch. I'm back to running on it fine after doing that twice a day for about 30secs each time. Wishing you a quick heal! 3y

AkashaVampie @Brooke_H what did u do to get rid of it? I was just looking up braces to wear... maybe it will help. 3y
AkashaVampie @BrittanyReads thanks sweetie. I will look into trying some stretching. 3y
brittanyreads It's tedious, but consistency is key. Hope it helps 🙂 3y
Brooke_H @AkashaVampie I did self massage and exercises every day. Just google how to do those. I also got some shoe inserts my dr recommended...but I do NOT recommend those. They did not help. I also didn‘t do any high impact exercise until it was gone. 3y
Texreader Yes that can be so so painful! We went to England while I had plantar fasciitis and let me tell you, walking London was hard as heck. But the good news is if you see the right dr it will heal. 3y
sgoffe @Brooke_H Mine took about 9 months to clear up as well and I had to be really diligent about the stretching & exercises my PT gave me. I haven't had a re-occurrence, but I really need to get back in the habit of doing those stretches! 3y
EmilyM I am on my feet all day and had Plantar Fasciitis really bad. I can only wear Dansko shoes. They are expensive but so worth it! 3y
Sungirl79 I just got diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. Today I am having a big flare up. It is no fun at all!! 3y
alisiakae I've had a few Plantar fasciitis flare ups over the years. It does go away eventually, but certain things can trigger it (warrior pose in yoga being one of them 😩). Patience and daily stretches are what eventually helped. Now, every time I run or go on long walks/hikes, I make sure to do specific stretches beforehand. 3y
AkashaVampie @4thhouseontheleft yeah I think that's what made mine start... i went on a long long walk with the family and I'm not physically fit, so messed up my foot. 3y
