I liked this book. I liked how the book was able to explain the sun and shadows and the Earth's rotation in a fun way.

Author: Cynthia Rylant, illustrator: Stephan Gammell, Publication: 1985, Awards: Caldecott Honors Award. This book is about the joy that you find and how important it is to have closeness within families as well as the problems you find in separation.

Omu cooks dinner for herself. Multiple people throughout the city knock on her door telling her how good the food smells. Omu offers everyone that knocks a bowl of her dinner. At the end of the book she does not have any dinner left for herself and then by surprise everyone that she offered food brought her food in return.
I really liked this book. I liked the message that it is important to not only share but to give back as well.
