Good primer on disabilities with current & up to date information. There was a chapter on intersectionality and disabilities which I really thought was great. There was also the discussion of first person or identity first language when discussing disabilities. There is a big shift in the disability community on the use of this language and lots of changes happening. When in doubt ask the person or parent (of a disabled child) how they identify.

ncsufoxes This book also gave a lot of good resources. Quick, easy, & informative read. #bookspin book #firstbookof2022 (edited) 3y

First read of the new year. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 star read.

Stray dogs follows Sophie. A new dog in a new place. Who soon learns her new owner is a man who killed her previous owner and took her to his house now her and the other dogs have to remember that and get out. The first book in a set of 5. I can‘t wait for the others. #straydogs #firstbookof2022

Finally starting the tagged book today. I can‘t wait. The Hopefuls was good. I love behind the scenes politics stuff, even fictional. #TBR #FirstBookof2022 #lastfirst @BookNAround

Thanks @Lizpixie this will be my #FirstBookOf2022 😊 Here‘s hoping for a good year ahead everyone with lots of reading and relaxing!! My last book looks like being Of Mice and Men unless I can fit a sneaky quick book in over the next few days! That brings my total for the year to 34 books…not sure what my 2022 challenges will be yet but I‘d love to read War and Peace!!
