So it‘s that time again for Dewey‘s 24 hour readathon! I‘m getting a late start because I was having a bad day and wasn‘t feeling up to it at first but now I kind of regret the late start. I‘ll read till 10 pm tomorrow to make up for it. I‘m gonna start by reading Fairest of all. No photos this time around because my camera on my phone is broken :( #dewaug #reversereadathon

Decided I couldn‘t wait to start reading this book so I‘m going to start now. Also, because I‘m going to go to the Barnes and Noble book club for it on June 13 I decided to try my hand at taking notes while I read.

Book haul! I had to pick up Christine‘s new book at Barnes and Noble and walked out with step sister and Much Ado About Mean Girls. (Oops 🤷‍♀️) I also went to target and picked up Mirror, Mirror. Then this month‘s #owlcrate came today and got We Hunt the Flame. #bookhaul #muchadoaboutmeangirls #mirrormirror #stepsister #wehunttheflame #againbutbetter

tracey38 I just got my owlcrate today too. It was a good box. 9mo

Started reading Shadow of the Fox. I‘m about 62 pages in and if I‘m honest I‘m not really enjoying it so far I may wind up DNFing this book though I‘m trying to give it at least 100-150 pages before I make that final decision.

Caffeinated_Reader It‘s so good!!! I loved this one. Maybe try it again in a week or a month? It‘s really great! 9mo
Bookaholicforlife @Caffeinated_Reader I‘m going to keep reading for a bit to see if I can get into it. It may just be the beginning I‘m not into. If not, I‘ll take your advice and try picking it up again I. A week or month or so. Thank you. I‘m glad you enjoyed it. 9mo
Caffeinated_Reader @Bookaholicforlife no prob! It helps me when I can‘t get into a book, good luck! 9mo

Kshakal Are the book and movie pretty comparable??? I loved the movie and don‘t want to be disappointed by the book... 10mo
Bookaholicforlife @Kshakal you definitely won‘t be disappointed! The book gives more details on the characters that are great to know. The ending is a little different in the book but personally, I like the book ending better. I most definitely recommend reading it. 10mo
Kshakal @Bookaholicforlife awesome! I will definitely read the book then! 10mo

My current read. I started the first 36 pages last week whilst on a cruise with my family thinking that this was the perfect book to read on a cruise ship. Unfortunately I wasn‘t able to get that far in it. This is also the first adult book I‘m reading instead of a YA or middle grade novel. I‘m sick in bed today so a perfect time for hot tea and a book.

I just finished Stars above and overall I give the book a 3.5/ 5 stars. Not counting the last story in the book because that one alone is a 5/5 stars and worth its own rating. The other stories were cute and entertaining but I didn‘t fall as hard for them as I did the last story or the Lunar Chronicles.

Taking a break from the Lunar chronicles( I‘m on Scarlet) to read what if it‘s us. And this quote resonates with me on a personal level when I walk into Starbucks. Not that I think any writer is really pretentious. I‘m just riddled with anxiety and feel like any writer there would hate what I‘m writing if they saw it. Does that make sense?

Bookishthoughts Judgemental people have more insecurities then they like to show. If you show your work to a person, and they only have non constructive criticism then their opinion isn't worth your time.💗 1y

Bookaholicforlife @LauraWeasley awesome! I liked them (though not as much as Harry Potter) I hope you do too! I‘m debating whether I should take a break from Percy Jackson universe and read a different book or if I should move on to heros of Olympus 2y
LauraWeasley @Bookaholicforlife Well, I mean, nothing is as good as Harry Potter... 😁 I'd say keep on reading if you enjoy being in Percy's world. But I totally get the feeling of not being able to decide when there's so many other books that want to be read... Also, personally, I always try to delay finishing a series I really love because I can't stand the idea of it being over. It's a problem. 😂 2y

Peter Pan | J M Barrie

So I decided to start book; a Peter Pan retelling. I wanted to know if you guys would read this?

in modern day the fairies of Neverland are dying due to lack of belief. Desperate Peter goes to the mainland to try and find a child with enough belief to save Neverland and the fairies. He‘s shocked when the “child” that could save everything isn‘t a child, but a college girl. Unconvinced that she is the one peter is reluctant to ask her for help.
