A friend is rereading all of Shakespeare and I finally got around to watching their recent Marco Polo message re: The Tempest (we‘re discussing Caliban and colonialism among other things), and it included a reference to Sycorax. Just this evening, I‘d read Bryn Kelly's "Other Balms, Other Gileads,” a piece assigned for my Queer and Trans Writing class and thought, huh, that‘s the name of an alien in Doctor Who. #fullcircle
