Pickpick

A satisfying conclusion, though probably too long considering the final battle. Some plot omissions bothered me - but not enough to not be touched by the final outcome.

I shall return to the Grishaverse soon - especially given the hints about the series ahead. 🏴‍☠️👑

Had to wait over a hundred pages for the best character in this series to appear in Book 3 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️😅

What a final line to open Book 3.

Scratching the itch by finishing this trilogy out then pausing my foray into the Grishaverse in favor of the rest of the books on my actual shelf staring at me. 😂

King Nicholai is trying to remove his demon, but yet prepare Rafka for the war he feels encroaching even as he attempts to prevent it. Interestingly, many of the characters learn to face their own demons as the battle of good and evil continues. While Nicholai is searching for answers, Isaac is asked to step in to planned festivities on his behalf. And I hate the very end, but must now read the next book.

1) Already did. I chose Lee. The reasons are a little complicated and maybe even corny.

2) when I was young I had a cat I named after my favorite comic strip, Ziggy.

3) The name William keeps popping up in my reading and in a fanfic I‘m writing, but Kaz will always be my fave. :)

willaful Kaz is so touching! 2w
Eggs Excellent names! TY for joining in 🥳 1w

Ok, hear me out. I‘ve read this series over 10x now so I should be able to analyze every character. :D That said, Inej‘s mother is my favorite mom because the love she and Inej‘s father gave to Inej in a very strong way helps Inej survive the hellish life she lives once she‘s kidnapped. Kaz continuously thinks “How can Inej still see good in anyone?” It‘s because Inej knows her parents love her, even when they are torn apart. ⬇️

IriDas It is the difference between her and Kaz. Kaz has never known that unconditional love that strengthens children. Inej carries that with her and it, in turn, carries her. 1mo
BookmarkTavern Oh that‘s a lovely thought! I totally agree! Thank you for sharing! 4w

Mehso-so

Clear case of Middle Book in a Trilogy syndrome at play here. The back half of this crawled in terms of plot with a ton of focus on YA willful dramarama.

No longer Team Mal…but I‘m not sure I want to be on Team Alina either. 🤷🏻‍♀️🫣 Nikolai was the best part of this book by far. ☀️ 🏴‍☠️

When YA fantasy also kind of feels relevant to real life… 🫣🤷🏻‍♀️
