repost for @AnishaInkspill

I've set this challenge on Storygraph. I came up with Long Reads Workout 2026 to read books that are long and intimidating but want to read.

I'm starting with Hannibal Rising at 350+ pages and working all the way to Hilary Mantel's A Place of Greater Safety, that is 600+ pages. If you're interested in this this challenge on Storygraph I put the link below.

Or tag me, @AnishaInkspill, here with #3BookChallenge2026.

AnishaInkspill Thanks for reposting. 7d

aa_guer2021 Oooh! I have to think about this! 4w
Born.A.Reader I had such good intentions with this challenge last year (this year). Hoping to do better this year as I certainly have enough options on my own TBR shelves! 4w

I bought this for some challenge or another last year but then never got to it. I finally got to it this week and enjoyed the author‘s travels while looking for the secret to happiness.

DogMomIrene I bought this one years ago. I think it was for a book club I never got to😂 Will need to reconsider this one. 11mo

#FiveJoysFriday!

Some joys this week:
🎄 Christmas decorations!
🐻‍❄️ This illustration from Tolkien‘s Letters from Father Christmas yesterday
☕️ A mug of tea from my tea Advent calendar every night
🍽️ Tasty Korean BBQ and good conversation last night with one of my best friends
🎁 My husband went Christmas shopping today (unheard of—he usually waits until at least the week of Christmas 😆)

I‘ve had this on my Litsy TBR for awhile, finally got around to the audiobook, narrated by author. Think I mainly wanted to read it because of the travel, & I definitely enjoyed hearing about different cultures, traditions, & lifestyles. A lot of the people interviewed by the author were interesting. I really liked the grandmother in Moldova. Amusing at times. The parts about happiness were good but not as interesting to me. 3.75⭐️

TheQuietQuill Woah I didn‘t know they made pumpkin spice with zero sugar! Looks like I‘m taking a trip to my grocery store to see if they have it, and I hope they make peppermint mocha in sugar free too. Yum 😋 2y
