#Mtcookbook 🧗‍♀️ Another new one this week!

Gumbo on the menu tonight. I love this series for its simplicity and overall tastiness.

Tamra This was a hit and will make it again. Added Old Bay Seasoning and hot sauce to serve. 😚 4mo
mabell Ooo old bay sounds like great addition! 4mo
tpixie I‘ve been craving gumbo! 4mo

janeycanuck Yum! Sounds so tasty! 4mo
Tamra @janeycanuck it was very good! 4mo
Tamra @tpixie give it a try! 4mo
Tamra @mabell yes, I made a note to add it again. 4mo
tpixie @Tamra I showed the recipe to my husband.. He thinks we should give it a try! Do you know how much Old Bay you put in? 😄 (edited) 4mo
Tamra @tpixie my daughter doesn‘t like very spicy food, so I only put in a teaspoon. But the rest of us added hot sauce to our bowls. So I would say it depends on how spicy you want it. 😊 I also made other closely related substitutions based on what we had, including a half can of fire roasted tomatoes. 4mo
tpixie @Tamra ok thanks! Fired roasted tomatoes- my mom loved those! Thanks for the memory!! 4mo
Tamra @tpixie enjoy! 4mo
tpixie @Tamra 😋 4mo
intothehallofbooks This sounds wonderful! I‘ve never made gumbo before. Also I‘ve seen the Skinnytaste cookbooks around, but I‘ve never peeked into them. I should, though! 4mo
Tamra @intothehallofbooks I really like them! Maybe check a couple out from the library to see if they work for you. 😄 4mo
TheBookHippie I love gumbo! 4mo

Need a good laugh? Start by pronouncing it bənänä instead of bənănə. Or... or instead of piränə (I've never heard it pronounced with an ñ) oh never mind! Just make them rhyme. You will not be disappointed. TW: There will be butts.

Love it when my son reads me the bedtime story instead of the other way around. We both enjoyed this one.

4.5/5⭐ This cookbook has tons of recipes, all of which seem simple and much healthier than their restaurant counterparts without sacrificing flavor. I love everything in this book from the variety of recipes to the layout and pictures to the tidbits scattered throughout for recipe variations, substitution options, and generally making cooking easier. There's something in here for everyone.

#BFC2022 March Goals

I'm a bit late to the party, but excited to join this challenge!

@wanderinglynn Thanks for hosting, and please add me to the tag list. 😃

Book Goal: Read every day.

Fitness Goals:
Walk at least 4 times per week
AND
Eat mindfully at restaurants (many restaurant meals ahead in March - 2 out of town trips and 2 visits from out of town friends/family)

wanderinglynn Welcome to #BFC2022! 💜 Great goals! 🙌🏻 2y
julieclair Thank you @wanderinglynn ! I'm hoping the accountability of joining this challenge will help me achieve them. 2y
wanderinglynn Also remember that Life Happens. So if a goal isn‘t working for you for some reason, adapt it. The idea is to not quit but be flexible and keep making progress. ☺️ 2y
julieclair Good advice, @wanderinglynn . Life does indeed happen! I can see where flexibility could be so helpful in continuing to move forward... even if slowly or in a different way than originally planned. 2y

#BFC Ideally, I would cut out refined sugar, but my goal is to stay within my WW points.
Book goal is to read 6 books. This month; I finished 2 today, so I think it's doable. @wanderinglynn

Brand new episode is up and out! We reminisce about working retail during the holiday season and then do a live book haul as I dig through some old books from my folk's basement. It's more fun than you'd think. Enjoy!

This book is jam-packed with important information about what we eat and how it affects our overall health. I was happy to find I eat many of the recommended foods and now will add more to eat with more intention.
