A strong, easy to follow collection for the Marvel Universe's Civil War event.
This is one of those historic plots that reverberates over time and becomes part of a character‘s fabric. Tony‘s battle with alcoholism was never explored in the films, so it was about time for me to experience this essential element of Iron Man lore. The struggle is subtly peppered through the fist few issues, climaxing in a hard drop to the bottom in the final issue, where Tony finally reaches out for help. Well done, but not extraordinary.
#SleighTheShelves Day 7: this person seems to be having a #Jolly Great time ala Iron Man. This was our view while in our hotel in Abu Dhabi over the National Day weekend.
The comics collected here were good, and I could just about see how they tied the story together, but it felt like it was taking some very big & unexplained leaps and just presuming we'd keep up.
Good for existing Marvel fans, probably, but for me (who's trying to learn more about the Marvel universe than just what's in the movies) it's a little lacking. Don't get me wrong; still very good... just not what I'd hoped.

I liked this, but it‘s hard for me to separate Iron Man and RDJ at this point so I was hearing all the dialogue in Downey‘s voice.
My sister got me this #ironman plush pillow. So cute!
Well, October was a lacklustre month. I had a few 4-star reads (this being my I Loved It rating), but no 4.5s or 5s. Most of what I read earned 3.5 stars (my I Really Liked It rating) or less.
Sigh.
I also saw minimal TBR reduction since I managed my library holds poorly. I sure hope November‘s better.
