This is a classic rhyming book that I would love to have in my classroom library. I would probably use this more in younger grades, but would still be loved by children of any age.
This is a great classic children's book that has amazing illustrations and clever writing. It's a charming book to read to children and to listen to as an adult. Overall, very fun and cute rhyming book about berries.
I think this is a great book to talk about saving memories. Growing up is difficult because at such a young age you can't always remember a lot from growing up so this fun story can help you with that.
In this story Freda the main character comes to a dilemma after blueberry picking with her grandma. She realizes that she can save things by memories. The author does a great job talking about how memories can be saved and this is a great book for upper elementary school students.

Strawberry Hibiscus jam I made on my day off ❤️ Inspired by the Simberry jam from The Stormlight Archives (this one is poison-free, I promise 👀) #thewayofkings #shallan #kabsal #brandonsanderson #oathbringer #wordsofradiance #rhythmofwar #strawberry #hibiscus #jam #canning #audiocanning

4 ⭐ Freda is blueberry picking with grandma. When they can no longer eat any more, they preserve the others in jars as jam for later. Freda gets the idea that she can preserve anything, and have it always and forever. But one day while eating her grandma‘s jam, she realizes that something is missing. That something is grandma, because if you put something up to remember it, you don‘t have a chance to make new memories with it.

New in the mail! I‘ve done little to no fun reading because I‘ve been obsessed with canning and getting some summer chores done. So far I‘ve done two types of jam and two pickles. Still waiting on results. I had a bean failure for my first pressure canning venture, but that is how we learn. 🥴 Definitely is an acquired skill.

Parents might not be too fond of this book if they‘re having a day where everything annoys them - nonsensical rhymes and all - but I can totally see why children would love this. 4⭐️
