Unfortunately, I found this one to be a bit boring. I liked the general idea behind the story, it just couldn't keep my attention. The story was meaningful, though. I liked how it ended even if the middle was a little hard for me to get through.
I liked this middle grade book, BUT I wasn‘t prepared for the anxious feeling I had while reading it. The safety of the snow leopard is in jeopardy for most of the book, and it was a lot to take on. Now, I‘m off to read some adult book with, hopefully, a snarky narrator and no animal endangerment, something a little more relaxing…😬
I started this MG book this morning and finished it by noon!! Alternating pov between girl struggling with a stutter and a snow leopard. Setting is Cornwall, England in the 1960s. The message is two fold: being human is hard, be gentle with yourself and speak for those who can‘t speak for themselves (nature). Well-told!

DNF @ 86%. A friend gave me this to read so I tried to read most of it. In the end, I just found myself not caring about any of the characters or the plot.
Dickinson is a poet I'm growing to like more as I get older. Maybe because I'm less worried about trying to understand her.
