Finished this book yesterday… and today, I couldn‘t remember finishing it. Am I stressed?! After working 12 hours today and my hub out of town, needing to walk the dog in the dark, we came upon a neighbor who has lit their house in Red White and Blue. 🇺🇸

Silly me, trying to read only romance to hide from election stress and I pick this! Not sure if 5⭐️ or if I am feeling generous- it did make me laugh.

As the last person on earth to read this book, I am happy to verify what I've been hearing for the past five years: This romance is 100% delightful in every way. Is it unrealistic? Yep. Don't care. Is it too long? Probably. But I would read a whole series with these guys, so the 421 page count is just fine with me.

Like it a lot, but not as much as I thought I would. Yes, I was ruined by the movie 😅 But I loved reading about the changes made, and enjoyed all the extras to it. And of course it's a lovely book with an important message. Still hoping for a female US president 🤞

Awww! This was exactly the adorableness I needed this weekend! Especially now, it was cool reading about an alternate timeline in which a female Democrat, the main character‘s mom, won the presidency in 2016. I loved how his relationship with Prince Henry blossomed and the ways they unlocked each other‘s best selves. Just all the warm fuzzies for this one!

An adorable, funny, just the right amount of angst romance that I‘m not sure why I waited so long to read. There are just enough cute and silly moments that balanced out the heartfelt and serious ones perfectly. The characters were flawed, well-rounded, and real. I loved every everything about this book.

The love story in this one is very sweet and often funny, and the dialogue sparkles throughout the book. But I think what really pulls me in with this one is the fantasy of what America and American politics could be. It reminded me a little bit of the movie The American President in that way, where we ultimately have a story in which the better angels of our nation actually win. And isn‘t that what we would all truly love to see for a change?

I read this book as part of the Goodreads 2024 challange. It was the perfect book to read for Pride Month. These gentlemen faced an almost impossible situation. I grew to like them both as I read their story. I‘m generally not into the romance genre, but I‘m glad I read this book.
