Leniverse I quite enjoyed learning more about how the Keepers use their powers. Especially how charging a metal mind doesn't have to be a hardship, it can be useful like making your body lighter for climbing or dulling your sense of smell when something reeks. 3d

The downside to reading on Kindle. That's the zoomed in version of the map 🧐 I guess I'll just create my own headcanon map for where everything is in relation to each other, because I can't even make out what places are marked on the map - much less where they are 🤪

Jess861 I've fallen behind once again, lol. I grabbed it off the bookcase but haven't started it yet. Hopefully I have a bit more time to read this week - I spent most of my evenings this week helping the kiddos with the gazillion Valentines cards they needed to do for school. 1w

rabbitprincess I‘m excited that there‘s a NEW METAL! Duralumin seems to be quite a tricky one to burn. I nearly cheered out loud on the bus when reading the scene where Vin rescued Breeze. And this business with the kandra feels a bit like a closed-circle murder mystery, so I am very much intrigued. 1w

rabbitprincess Also, a slight sad trombone moment for me at the part where Vin and Elend were talking about Kelsier and Vin described Kelsier as “ancient” at the age of 38 😂😅 That means I will be “ancient plus one” this year 🥲 1w

Good. Nice fantasy story. I read this for Goodreads Epic Quest challenge and even though I hadn't read the ones preceding this it was still enjoyable but I do recommend that you read the others first.

Mistborn: The Final Empire | Brandon Sanderson

Wow. I think I can now say I‘m in love with the Cosmere. Brandon Sanderson builds an amazing universe. The magical system he created is fabulous. His character development is great. But he is a true master of plot development. The twists and turns in the last two hundred pages or so left me dizzy. In a good way. If you would like a tag to join us for book 2, let me know. I‘ll post the new schedule next.

JacqMac I‘m normally not a fan of the big action scenes, but Sanderson does it so well. I can‘t put these books down. lol 2w

DogMomIrene @rabbitprincess I saw this on Sanderson‘s website. I knew from years ago that he‘s really consistent with posting his writing progress on all his projects. I got sucked into his website and YouTube channel. I haven‘t watched any of his lectures from BYU, but I will. Im actively avoiding looking at any pages with merchandise😂 2w

DogMomIrene @Meshell1313 And where‘s the Kandra that belongs to House Venture? Elend mentioned it once,seeing it with his father. Who is that Kandra impersonating? And how does the contract work? Kelsier set up the contract that transferred to Vin upon K‘s death, but I‘m pretty sure Elend made it sound like his family owned their Kandra. Is that just a longer contract or slavery? Or what! 2w

DogMomIrene @Meshell1313 Oh, I‘m convinced that one of the crew is really a Kandra. That conversation Kelsier had with the nobleman when he was pretending to be an informant just reeked of the nobleman knowing more than he was letting on. Ugh! I don‘t want a betrayal, but I‘m preparing for the worst. And yeah, the end of the contract…Kelsier paid for his contract? With money? What does a Kandra do with money? Did he pay in blood? Or memories? Something else? 2w

JacqMac @DogMomIrene You saw it before I did, but it‘s looking that way after the next part. lol And I would also like to know how these contracts work. 2w

DogMomIrene @JacqMac Well, I hope Sanderson does reveal the Venture Kandra soon. I like some mysteries, but I prefer the fake outs like Marsh. Hit me out of the blue. Much more enjoyable and less anxiety inducing 😂 2w
