Meshell1313 Ok so the journal before each chapter is Vin‘s now? And they FINALLY explain the ash!!!! Moving planets??!! That‘s a lot of power! This book is going to the best one I think! 6d

Meshell1313 @JacqMac yes! I think I was still convinced it was nuclear war. The question I have now is about Vin- they keep thinking she can fix it. Will she move the planet again? 5d

rabbitprincess I think the most memorable parts for me in this part have been the TenSoon chapters because we get to see kandra in their element. Not sure if TenSoon would feel better or worse about giving away the secret of his people if he knew that that info was inscribed on a metal plate in one of the Lord Ruler‘s supply caches 😅 3d

That was not where I saw this going. But wow, it was good. I have to give Sanderson some credit for his fight scenes. Usually they aren‘t my favorite part of a story, but he does them so well. And saying that, what do you all think about Marsh? Where did that come from? I can‘t wait to start the next one. I‘ll post dates in a bit.

rabbitprincess Vin is so badass and I love her! Controlling the koloss and casually slicing and dicing her scuzzy FIL. Good riddance to bad rubbish 😤 I am also glad I finished this book at home because I was literally sobbing at the well of ascension 😭 2w

Meshell1313 I do love that I always surprised!! So now that thing from the well is out? Crazy. And yes what is going on with Marsh- it‘s like he‘s possessed or something? I hope in book 3 we finally get some real answers instead of just more questions! 2w

Leniverse Finally caught up! My guess is that Marsh and the other Inquisitors are controlled by the same voice that told Zane to kill everyone but Vin. Zane only had one spike, so he wasn't completely under the Voice's control. Further guessing that the voice is the thing from the well. @Meshell1313 1w

Leniverse I'm a bit frustrated with the rookie horror movie mistake of just knocking Marsh out instead of finishing him off. It would have taken two seconds pull his kill switch. 1w

Happy Tuesday! Today was busy, so I‘m a little late. All I have to say is, he did it again! I thought I knew where it was going. But I wasn‘t expecting that. I can‘t wait to finish this one. Don‘t forget we are doing both parts this week. I don‘t think anyone will have a problem. It‘s so hard to put down now.

Leniverse I've only just finished this part. I became so frustrated with how so much drama could have been avoided if people just talked to each other instead of making assumptions, and how easy Vin was to manipulate. I just had to put the book away for a while. 2w

Leniverse Vin came one short step away from going full Anakin. When Elend found her in the cubby hole and told her he was sure she'd had a good reason, I had painful flashbacks to Anakin telling Amadala about how he massacred a whole village. It was too uncomfortable to read on. But now that I have, I'm very relieved at how this part ended 😅 2w

#Cosmerebuddyread Wow. Sanderson has done it again- just when I think I know where the story is heading, he does something completely unexpected that I never see coming. That ending made me immediately go and purchase the next book. Can‘t wait for our group‘s next few discussions but I couldn‘t help but finish early! Thank goodness for our buddy read so I am not alone with this! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I once again rocketed ahead of the buddy read for this because I could not stop reading! This was a bit longer than the first book, Mistborn, so it was a bit more of an effort in places, but WOW am I really loving this world.

rabbitprincess I had a feeling that Elend would not be re-voted king but was not sure of who would replace him. So hurray for being ahead of a cliffhanger for once, sort of 😆 4w

Leniverse Yeah, I'll be happy not to lose any more major characters, but at the same time it seems anticlimactic if it's someone we've not even met. And I don't trust Sanderson not to sucker punch us 😒 4w

Leniverse I quite enjoyed learning more about how the Keepers use their powers. Especially how charging a metal mind doesn't have to be a hardship, it can be useful like making your body lighter for climbing or dulling your sense of smell when something reeks. 1mo
