Marina_h I read 38 books but there was some short ones in that bunch. 14.of them were on my TBR and yes there were some new authors. I discovered Matt Haig during the winter games. I liked reading all the #Holidayreads and also watching #HolidayMovies. Had I had more time during December I would have watched some more 😊 5y
bullbunny Sadly no. There was 2. This year yes, this month.. no since I didn't accomplish what I set out to read. Just a bunch of various random things. Favorite thing finding the memes there was some funny ones! 5y
kezzlou85 I read 17 books in December. Most were on my TBR and I discovered Leigh Bardugo, whom I'd heard of but never read. I really enjoyed the which elf would you be and the short questions like these. Been lots of fun. 5y

sblbooks 18 books, some had multiple short stories...All were on my TBR, I have a Christmas tag on GR...I think it was 10 new to me authors... favorite tags would be holiday reads and holiday movies. 5y
Nessavamusic 1. 17 Books 2. 7 3. Yes 3 new to me 4. The games were fun, but I enjoyed celebrating the holidays with books and film 5y
LibrarianRyan have not counted. All but 2, Yes: many of the Gas, I liked the commerady and the felling of everyone sharing in something. 5y

kezzlou85 I liked the modern setting and giving him a job in an industry that's more recognizable to us all. Made it a bit more relevant 5y
sblbooks I'm old school, I prefer to stay true to the original. 5y
Laughterhp It was an interesting take, but I prefer the original. 5y
LibrarianRyan @kezzlou85 @sblbooks @laughterhp I grew up with this version, and the George C scott version (I think I have that right), and every year when stateside or close by my grandmother would have me take her to what ever version was playing at the school theater. This was always funny, while others felt boring and drawn out. 5y

bullbunny To make it more personable, because the younger brother figure always looks up to the older brother. So in turn if they had such a great relationship. The older brother would want to not be a burden to his younger brother, once they realize what needs to change. 5y
kezzlou85 I think it added depth to his character. He was an only child for so long then along came this brother. It also shows why his brother keeps trying every year. 5y
sblbooks Not sure, Bill Murray's character was much younger than the original Ebenezer, so a nephew would have been too young probably. 5y
Laughterhp I think it made it more personal of a story. I agree with @sblbooks Scrooge was much younger in this and in the modern world I don‘t think a nephew would try so hard to get an uncle into the Christmas spirit. 5y

sblbooks He seems like a cross between a bad Bob Cratchit and the portly gentleman. Grace is the good version of cratchit. 5y

bullbunny Probably the ghost of Christmas future. Wasn't a talker ever. And always a dark ominous thing 5y
kezzlou85 Definitely the ghost of christmas future. He was still the dark and slightly creepy character. 5y
sblbooks I agree, the Ghost of Christmas future. 5y
Laughterhp Definitely the ghost of Christmas future. I couldn‘t stand the present ghost. 5y

bullbunny The cab driver was fun. Definitely a favorite. Hmm I guess his boss 5y
kezzlou85 @bullbunny I agree the cab driver was hilarious. I really liked his brother too. As for worst possibly the guy sent in to help/replace him. 5y
sblbooks Favorite character is Grace, least favorite is Frank. 5y
Laughterhp Least favorite was the ghost of Christmas present. Favorite, his assistant I guess. 5y
LibrarianRyan My favorite character is the ghost of christmas present (sorry @laughterhp). I just love that actress, and I laugh every time the toaster come outs. But I also have a soft spot for Bobcat Goldwaith. Least fav is the guy set to replace him. 5y

Laughterhp I don‘t remember what his love interest did in the book. Did they even say? I just listened to this and don‘t remember... (edited) 5y
LibrarianRyan @Laughterhp I think she was just a daughter. No job or passion that I can remember. 5y

sblbooks I'm not sure if this question means only including pets in A Christmas Carol? Tiny Tim could have a pet dog, or the portly gentleman could raise money for the Humane Society or something like that 5y
