When visiting one of my favorite indie bookstores #murderbythebook the bookseller pressed this into my hands and assured me I would love it. Spot on. It hit all the gothic mystery elements that I love. An old school, a book intertwined with a book, a diary. I hope to read more of Elly Griffiths very soon.
so-soRead this over Christmas 2017. Eh, it was okay. The main character and her storyline fell a bit flat for me. And the parts discussing anthropological history I found overly detailed and somewhat boring. Not really a subject I‘m interested in. Not going to read any more in this series.
