so-soNancy Drew books were my first chapter book obsession. I read tons of them, with the encouragement of my school librarian.
This one was published in 1962, and it shows 🤣. The phrase “getting me down” was used more than once.
Even though I thought the writing was lacking, it was fun to taste the nostalgia of this reread.

dabbe The ONLY books I would read for a while, along with Pippi Longstocking. I even had the original THE SECRET OF THE OLD CLOCK. I gave them all away years ago and wish I had them again. #nostalgiaindeed 2y
