This book can be used in my classroom to inspire students to explore language creatively and appreciate rhyme and rhythm. Reading these poems aloud can help build fluency and expression, making poetry accessible and fun for students.
A Pizza the Size of the Sun is a humorous poetry collection by Jack Prelutsky, published in 1996. This collection of poetry entertains young readers with playful and imaginative poems filled with clever wordplay and vivid imagery. The book belongs to the children's poetry genre and received the Children's Choice Award in 1997.
This was a favorite in our young family, and as parents, my daughters read it to their children.

First grilled pizza attempt from Pizza Night! Surprisingly easy! The tricky part is getting the top nice and done. We used the Hatch Chile and Corn recipe (meant to be on a Neapolitan in a pizza oven - we‘ll try it that way later), and instead topped the grilled thin crust. #mtcookbook

My preorder is here for Ali Stafford‘s new book! I LOVED Bread Toast Crumbs, and her blog is great! I am very excited to see what she put together in this ❤️
And yes, adding to #mtcookbook I‘m not making a dent on 🤣
The main character in this one was just pretty dumb. I won‘t continue this series. Oh well one more off my list.
For the record, the bread in this photo was not made using a recipe from this book, but I couldn‘t resist the serendipity!
I‘m glad I finally got around to reading this, since it‘s such a seminal and oft-cited book in the world of artisan baking, but I‘m not enthusiastic about it. I feel like the online recipes I started with and my own experience have gotten me past the Forkish method and into better (less wasteful!) ones.
