Carol @theshrinkette I'd have to dig out the letter and verify (got it several weeks ago and didn't post until now because of potential spoilers for international peeps) but I believe it was a combination of the two sisters spending a ton of time on this that wasn't sustainable, and also the subscriber numbers were too low. I'm pretty heartbroken and it sounds like you are, too. 💔 8y

moranadatter @Carol I'm willing to give it a try. I wasn't involved in LitsyGoesPostal so I have no idea how much work it was to set up or even all of the details of what they're doing, but we might be able to work out out own version of a comics exchange. 8y

moranadatter @Carol Sounds good. Alternatively, we could reinvent the wheel to have it be more like a gift/recommendation service to keep it closer to the spirit of Landfall. I'll think of a proposal for that while you gather info. 8y

moranadatter @Carol How about a small group of people willing to commit to participating for a set period of time? If it is 3 months, we'd need 4 willing participants. Over the three month period, we'd each send one package per month. Each month, we'd be sending a package to a different person. Package would be one recent-ish graphic novel, one recent-ish comic, some small misc items like stickers or pins, and a sucker. We'd also receive as many as we sent. 8y

moranadatter @Carol We'd need to do a survey to get an idea of what people like to read. It would give us a chance to play curator/reader's advisor. 8y

Carol @kmdartist ah so more like Landfall in all ways. I really, really like it. Are you in the US? We could keep it all inside the country to keep shipping costs down. Flat rate USPS box, probably want to encourage first issues or volumes of sending ongoing series so readers aren't confused. Yes? I'm getting crazy excited about this... 8y
